Kashuuyahata-jinja Shrine

The Spring Festival is scheduled to be held in early April every year, where Danjiri gathers and shows will be held. If the cherry blossom season and the spring festival date overlap, there is a more atmosphere of the spring festival, and it is recommended to watch the cherry blossoms at night.

Yuzuruba Dam

Approximately 800 Yoshino cherry trees are planted around the dam, and it is Awaji Hanahenro No. 35 bill place "April: Sakura". You can enjoy the beautiful scenery rich in nature along with the surrounding mountain cherry blossoms and the cherry blossoms reflected on the lake surface.

Mt. Magarida Park

It is a famous cherry blossom spot where about 580 Yoshino cherry trees and Satozakura are in full bloom all at once. It is Awaji Hanahenro No. 30 bill place "April: Sakura". From the vicinity of the summit, you can see the scenery of Sumoto City and Osaka Bay, and it is lit up at night, creating a fantastic scenery that is a little different from daytime.

Sumoto Castle Ruins

Sumoto Castle Ruins, one of the most famous castle ruins in Awajishima.
In spring, the area around the castle ruins is wrapped in pale cherry blossoms, giving you a superb view of stone walls, cherry blossoms, and the Seto Inland Sea.
You can enjoy the co-starring of castles and cherry blossoms, which are woven by history and nature.

Awajishima Akashi Kaikyo National Government Park

Approximately 800 or 300 varieties of cherry blossoms, including Oshimazakura and Yamazakura, will color the park, centering on Yoshino cherry tree. Kawazu cherry blossoms begin to bloom at the end of February and are in full bloom in mid-March, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing as soon as possible on Awajishima.
