Approximately 50,000 Awaji Kuromatsu trees are overgrown and are designated as a national scenic spot. Received AA in the 2024 beach water quality survey. It is a famous place designated as "100 Best Beaches in Japan", "100 Best Sunsets in Japan", "88 Best Beaches in Japan", and "100 Best Bathing Beaches (Specialty)" and has the largest sandy beach in Awajishima, 2.5 km north-south.
