Awaji tiles are one of the three major tiles in Japan along with Iwami tiles and Sanshu tiles. Among them, Awajishima boasts the largest market share in the country for Ibushi tiles.
"Awaji Ibushi Tile" uses high-quality clay from Awajishima, and is characterized by its stunning "Ibushigin" clearness with deep luster created by unique firing methods and smoking conditions.

You can experience creating "tile", a local industry of Awajishima, as a "tile coaster" where drinks are placed.
